Jorge Delicatessen puts a ‘taste of the deli’ in the palm of your hand with the introduction of our new Mediterranean Deli Cups…

Our brand new Jorge Deli Cups are the latest addition to our fresh ‘Taste of the Deli’ Menu, as we bring this burgeoning casual dining style from the Mediterranean to the UK!

Jorge Deli Cups and Charcuterie Cups for Mediterranean casual dining

Already hugely popular in many Spanish & Italian cities, ‘charcuterie cups’ provide an authentic ‘grab-and-go’ street food style of dining, whilst using the finest ingredients from our fresh deli counters.

Chef Jorge and the team have now introduced our very own take on charcuterie cups, with Jorge Deli Cups – freshly made at the deli counter at our Buckminster Deli and Sedgebrook Gastro Café.

Available Deli Cup options:

  • Charcuterie (deli meat selection)
  • Cheese (artisan cheese selection)
  • ‘Taste of the Deli’ (both meats & cheeses)

Our delightful Deli Cups also include a choice of our authentic antipasti ingredients such as olives, sun-dried tomatoes, cornichons, grissini and flatbreads to tantalise your taste buds for the full Jorge Deli range in store!

Ideal for sharing with friends (why not choose one of each from the range to share?) – or as a delicious and authentic alternative to convenient and casual lunchtime dining.

Deli pots and charcuterie cups are also ideal as an attention-grabbing option for parties, al fresco dining or gourmet appetizers and make a stylish alternative to small plate and grazing board presentation.

The role of Charcuterie Cups and Deli Pots for events and gatherings

The rise of charcuterie cups and deli cups in mainland Spain can be attributed to their growing popularity at events and gatherings. Whether it’s a chic wedding, a corporate function, or an intimate family celebration, charcuterie cups have become a go-to choice for Mediterranean casual dining. They not only offer a practical serving solution but also combine casual eating and sophistication for any event.

How to Create the Perfect Charcuterie Cup or Deli Cup

If you’re looking to join the charcuterie cup trend, then of course your first stop should be to join us at the Jorge Deli or Café! But if you can’t join us in person, here are some tips to create the perfect cup:

  • Choose Quality Ingredients: Opt for high-quality, fresh ingredients. This could mean sourcing local cheeses, cured meats and olives & antipasti.
  • Balance Flavours and Textures: Include a variety of flavours—salty, sweet, and tangy—and textures—crunchy, soft, and creamy. This balance is key to a delightful tasting experience.
  • Presentation Matters: Arrange the ingredients thoughtfully. Use pops of colour from fruits or pickles to make the cup visually appealing, use different shapes and heights of ingredients.
  • Customise for the Occasion: Tailor your charcuterie cups to the theme of the event or the preferences of your guests. This could mean creating themed cups or offering a range of options.

Charcuterie cups and Deli cups are more than just a trend—they’re a reflection of Spain’s evolving culinary landscape. Combining tradition with modern convenience, they offer a new way to enjoy the classic flavours of Spanish and Mediterranean charcuterie and antipasti. Whether you’re hosting an event or simply looking for a stylish snack option, charcuterie cups are sure to impress.

As this trend continues to grow, it’s clear that charcuterie cups are here to stay in Spain’s vibrant food scene – and Jorge Deli Cups are set to become the new trend in UK casual dining!
