JORGE was created from a passion for exceptional food, authentic ingredients, and a lifelong dedication to the culinary craft.

After training at the renowned Westminster Kingsway College, Chef Jorge began his career working within some of the UK’s most respected hospitality groups and kitchens. His professional journey has included roles with Soho House, Caprice Holdings — including the acclaimed The Ivy and Scott’s — as well as working with the Jamie Oliver Group. Throughout his career, Jorge has gained invaluable experience in some of London’s most prestigious dining environments, developing his skills alongside talented chefs and hospitality professionals.

Beyond restaurants, Jorge has also created bespoke culinary experiences for private clients, including celebrities and high-profile individuals, delivering personalised dining experiences built around exceptional ingredients and meticulous attention to detail.

After several years working in London and abroad, Jorge returned to the family home during his recovery from an accident. This period became the inspiration behind the JORGE brand, giving him the opportunity to spend time in the kitchen experimenting, refining recipes, and developing new products and ideas that combined his professional training with his love of Mediterranean cuisine.

Today, we work with some of the finest artisan producers both in the UK and overseas, carefully selecting unique and exceptional products to bring to the UK market.

Having lived and worked in Spain for several years, Jorge developed a strong network of relationships with growers, manufacturers, chefs, and suppliers across the country. These trusted connections continue to influence our carefully curated collections and allow us to source authentic products directly from passionate producers.

The name JORGE comes from the Spanish translation of George — reflecting Jorge’s deep connection with Spain and the Mediterranean lifestyle that has inspired so much of his culinary journey.

We proudly work with family estates and artisan producers across Spain, Greece, and Italy, alongside selected producers from Norway, Denmark, Hungary, Croatia, Turkey, Germany, and France. Each product is chosen for its quality, heritage, and ability to bring something truly special to the table.

Our signature ranges include naturally infused olive oils, premium Balsamic Vinegars of Modena, and a collection of beautifully hand-painted kitchen and ceramic ware, exclusively designed and produced under the JORGE brand.

Alongside our own deli and café, JORGE supplies independent delis, chefs, restaurants, and fine food outlets throughout the UK. Jorge regularly appears at food shows, demonstrations, and events, and is available for private dining, corporate occasions, weddings, and bespoke culinary experiences.

At JORGE, every product tells a story — from the artisan producer who created it to the chef who carefully selected it.

Exceptional ingredients. Authentic flavours. A passion for food without compromise.

Chef Jorge

After years of honing my craft in some of London's most iconic kitchens and working with royalty and celebrities, I was ready for a new challenge. I wanted to bring my passion for exceptional food to a wider audience and share my love of local, seasonal ingredients. So, in 2018, I opened my first shop. Our deli shop and café is a place where you can experience the very best of British produce. From our homemade jams and preserves to our carefully curated selection of artisan cheeses and meats, every item on our shelves is a testament to the dedication and skill of our local producers. I'm incredibly proud of what we've achieved so far, but our journey is far from over. I'm constantly exploring new ways to expand our product range and offer our customers even more delicious and sustainable options.

Jade

Hello! I'm Jade; I've worked at Jorge Gastro Cafe in Sedgebrook from the very beginning and have enjoyed the process of building the business and creating a lovely customer community. I am a mum of two and enjoy transferring the skills of using quality produce and cooking styles to my home life to create nutritious, fresh meals for my children. I graduated from Loughborough University with a degree in textile innovation & design; working at Jorge allows me to be creative and fits around my home life perfectly. I also share a passion for fresh produce and enjoy picking fruit and vegetables from my garden. The Jorge team is a small, family-run group and we take pride in caring for everyone one of our customers.
