After working in London and abroad for several years Jorge found himself returning to the family home to recover from an accident. This led to him spending time in the kitchen experimenting and developing new products and ideas. We now work with some of the best Artisan producers both at home and abroad to bring select and unique products to the UK market.

Jorge lived and worked in Spain for several years, building a network of contacts and close working relationships with growers, manufacturers, chefs and suppliers across the country. The name “Jorge” comes from the literal translation of George in Spanish. We work closely with several family estates in Spain, Greece and Italy and also producers from Norway, Denmark, Hungary, Croatia, Turkey, Germany and France.

Our key ranges include a selection of naturally infused Olive oils and Balsamic Vinegars of Modena and a collection of beautifully hand-painted kitchen and ceramic ware which are exclusively designed and produced under the Jorge brand.

We supply wholesale to delis, chefs and fine food outlets across the country and regularly attend food shows and events. George also regularly takes part in demos and is available for private dining/corporate events/weddings etc.

Chef Jorge

After years of honing my craft in some of London's most iconic kitchens and working with royalty and celebrities, I was ready for a new challenge. I wanted to bring my passion for exceptional food to a wider audience and share my love of local, seasonal ingredients. So, in 2018, I opened my first shop. Our deli shop and café is a place where you can experience the very best of British produce. From our homemade jams and preserves to our carefully curated selection of artisan cheeses and meats, every item on our shelves is a testament to the dedication and skill of our local producers. I'm incredibly proud of what we've achieved so far, but our journey is far from over. I'm constantly exploring new ways to expand our product range and offer our customers even more delicious and sustainable options.

Jade

Hello! I'm Jade; I've worked at Jorge Gastro Cafe in Sedgebrook from the very beginning and have enjoyed the process of building the business and creating a lovely customer community. I am a mum of two and enjoy transferring the skills of using quality produce and cooking styles to my home life to create nutritious, fresh meals for my children. I graduated from Loughborough University with a degree in textile innovation & design; working at Jorge allows me to be creative and fits around my home life perfectly. I also share a passion for fresh produce and enjoy picking fruit and vegetables from my garden. The Jorge team is a small, family-run group and we take pride in caring for everyone one of our customers.
